If I apply to these organizations, what are my chances of getting funding?

I can't guarantee you'll get the minority business funding. But your chances are high since I have a proven track record, they're familiar with my services, and giving away funding to black entrepreneurs is their mandate.

How fast can I get the funding?

While I can't guarantee the timing, the funds from these free small business grants for minorities are typically available in a couple of months.

What goes into the Statement of Work, or what do I need to provide for the project?

First, you need to fill out the application for the grant itself.

I'll need to know the following for the website:

– What your goals are, which will determine what functions and features need to be included (an online store requires an e-commerce setup, for instance)

– The main pages you want built

– A layout or simple wireframe of the all the key sections on each page (I'll help you complete this)

– Whether you have domain and hosting already set up and who your hosting provider is

– Example sites you want to emulate

– Branding kit (colors, fonts) and a logo, or we offer logo designs if you don’t have one already

– Content (images and copy, for starters)

– If you need website maintenance, unless you'll be doing that on your own (I provide basic WordPress training so you can handle simple content and security updates)

How long will it take to build or redesign my website?

It depends on what kind of build, whether it's a brochure site with just information or a more complex one like an e-commerce site. But if you've got a lot of the branding and content ready to go, it can happen in a matter of weeks.

The part that always takes my clients the longest is the copywriting, but I can help with that, which can also be covered by the grant.
